Information for Freshers
If you're coming up to Trinity this year, please get in touch - we're really keen to do all that we can to help you settle in. If you have any questions about anything, please do let us know and we'll try our best to help you out - check out the contacts page.
Sometimes it can seem a little daunting, moving to a new place, meeting new friends and settling into new routines but the most important thing is not to worry! Jesus doesn't say that heading off to uni will be a walk in the park but he does promise that he'll be with you every step of the way! As reps, we are really keen to meet up and talk through any questions or issues that you might have
Choosing a Church
As a Fresher it's really important to get stuck into a local church - this is by far the best way to grow as a Christian during your time at Cambridge. People at Trinity Christian Union attend a variety of different churches and will be more than happy to take you along with them! To help you choose, you could check out the resources page, where you'll find more information and websites about just a few of the churches which are popular with students. In the first few weeks of term, we'll also be holding a "Church Breakfast" on Sunday morning.
It's an amazing time of trying new things and meeting new people, so do enjoy it but also try to make Jesus Christ a priority from the start. You'll find out after you arrive here in Cambridge that students are very open to hearing different views on everything from God to your favourite brand of baked beans and there will be plenty of opportunities to share your faith, especially in the first few weeks.
Finally... don't forget that God never changes, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Whether you're at home or Cambridge, He never lets go of us! If we put Jesus at the centre of our lives, everything else will fall into perspective!
